I do encourage you to tune your guitar before you continue - otherwise it will sound horrible, and people will not want to listen to your beautiful music...
Tune your guitar by comparing notes with your computers MIDI-bank: click here!
Warm up those guitar fingers as I demonstrated in the 2nd lesson.
Right. This is the last song of the beginners course - but there are more songs to learn on the website. I have started a section with "beginner's songs" that will grow in time. besides, don't forget that there will be a theory course up soon as well.
Personally I have played this song way too much - everytime me, people + a guitar is on the beach it's always the same "Play Wonderwall!!!". Well, now you are going to be one of those annoying uitarrists who plays it, col huh;) hehe.
But nevertheless - Oasis is a good band. If you want to read more about them, click here.
It's quite easy to play, and you will have even less problems if you learnes the previous Pearl Jam song well.
The strumming pattern is quite difficult to grasp and explain, but I think that I managed to tab it pretty well. The most important thing is that you listen to the original as well when you are trying to figure it out! My demonstration and tabulature is just a guideline for how you can learn the song.
The song is supposed to be played with a capo on the second fret. However I will show you without a capo for the sake of simplicity (but I will demonstrate how it sounds like with a capo as well, using bar chords).
Chords used in the song (don't worry about their names, it does not make the song more difficult)

Then you basically repeat the whole thing!

Lyrics with chords:
Em7 G
Today is gonna be the day
Dsus4 Cadd9
That they're gonna throw it back to you
Em7 G
By now you should've somehow
Dsus4 Cadd9
Realized what you gotta do
Em7 G
I don't believe that anybody
Dsus4 Cadd9
Feels the way I do
Cadd9 Em7 Dsus4
About you now
Em7 G
Backbeat the word is on the street
Dsus4 Cadd9
That the fire in your heart is out
Em7 G
I'm sure you've heard it all before
Dsus4 Cadd9
But you never really had a doubt
Em7 G
I don't believe that anybody
Dsus4 Cadd9
Feels the way I do
Cadd9 Em7 Dsus4
about you now
C D Em
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
C D Em
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
C D
There are many things that I would
G G/F# Em7 C
Like to say to you
C C(2)
But I don't know how
Cadd9 Em7 G
Because maybe
Em7 Cadd9 Em7 G
You're gonna be the one that saves me
Em7 Cadd9 Em7 G
And after all
Em7 Cadd9 Em7 G
You're my wonderwall
(then everything's repeated)
Today was gonna be the day
But they'll never throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do
About you now
And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I would
Like to say to you
But I don't know how

I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe (I said maybe)
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe (I said maybe)
You're gonna be the one that saves me (that saves me) 3X

I show you how to play in the video -->
That was the last lesson in this beginner's course. I hope you had as much fun as I had, and that you feel that you have learned the basics in guitar playing!
New things are added to the website as time goes by, and I'm working on translating the remainder of the swedish website (the theory course).
Until then you can always subscribe to the newsletter. I will notify you when new stuff is up on the site!
Make the world happy with your music.
